Bill’s Bugs
Episode Two: Bug Food
![I am so hungry. I'm ready to eat. What's on the bug menu today?](https://mlc.learningstewards.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Bobsbugs2-ready-to-eat.png)
I have bugs for pets. They live in glass bowls. I feed them, every day.
I have a hairy spider. He scares my sister. I tell her he won’t bite her, because, he is nice. She doesn’t believe me!
But she has a caterpillar. It’s the color of an alligator. It’s bigger than her little finger.

I named my spider, Noah. He lives alone. I gave him some banana. He never ate it.
![How can you humans eat these things? I'd much rather eat a fly than a banana.](https://mlc.learningstewards.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Bobsbugs2-spider-banana.jpg)
He walked away from it. I had to wonder. Why didn’t he like it?
I love my little Noah. I said, “Come here.” And I fed him some flies.” ![](/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/x-read-160x120-1.png)

Have you ever seen a spider eat? I stood over his bowl, and I was amazed.
![Look at what I brought home for dinner, honey.](https://mlc.learningstewards.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Bobsbugs2-spider-and-fly.jpg)
It took awhile. I didn’t know if he would ever finish. But he ate those flies.
Bugs are just great! Don’t you agree? Do you like the bigger ones? Or the smaller ones? ![](/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/x-read-160x120-1.png)
![Okay. Now I'm ready to arm wrestle with you.](https://mlc.learningstewards.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Bobsbugs2-praying-mantis-300x163.jpg)
