Pop-Up Future Steps
The future pop-up will provide learning support resources beyond PQs via the WordScope button
. Clicking it will open (either within the popup or, more likely, outboard in an overlay screen) a menu of additional resources:

We should be able to provide a dictionary, thesaurus, etymology, translations, biographic (where applicable) and encyclopedia references via APIs to other open source services. We create a structure of tags that allow us to pass any usage unique messages from the author (Idea and Notes).
This is the modern equivalent of this early design of the “Learner Interface”:
Replacing the speaker buttons at the end of paragraphs with an icon that represent the ‘whole’, a similar palette of options can be provided for the representation level:
