The School Play:
Episode 6: Trying
Jacob and Jessie had practiced so much that they both knew their lines backward and forwards.
Jessie had been reading aloud at rehearsals all month. Jacob asked Jessie if she still thought she wasn’t smart.
Jessie said, “I’ve gotten so much better. Practicing over and over really helps. So does having a friend. Now I know I am smart. You just have to practice the things that are hardest.”
Jacob said, “Making a new friend was the hardest for me. I thought I wasn’t good enough to make friends. But I practiced and now I have you.”
Jessie and Jacob were so good at reading their lines that other kids wanted to practice with them before rehearsal.
