            Episode One: Flying



It’s so pretty up here. I’m high above the trees. I love the rivers, below me. I float in, and out, of the clouds. I breathe the cool fresh air.



Hello there. I am a bird. It’s nice to meet you. My name is Jane.


I’m so lucky, because I can fly. You, can’t be up here. You don’t have wings. And, you’d be too dizzy.

 My Mom helped me to fly. She was the best teacher. It was hard at first. But I learned pretty fast.


We jumped from our big nest. We flapped our little wings. Flying felt funny. But we got to be good at it.

 My brothers and sisters raced. We would fly up high. Then we’d dive down fast. We’d almost hit the ground. But we never did.



We learned how to turn fast. That way we didn’t hurt ourselves. Then we’d fly in circles. We might get a bit, tired. So we would land in a tree. And then we would, rest.


Mom was so proud of us. And we were a happy family. But one day was very scary. A Hawk, came to our, woods.
